Selling & buying details
A local service
Second Serve Twin Cities is Mike Jaeger’s local paddle resale service, serving Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and surrounding suburbs. Drop-off and pickup are by appointment at a public location agreed with Mike. There is no shipping. The service is independent of Life Time, other clubs, and paddle brands.
Seller approval and fees
Mike suggests an asking price after reviewing your paddle. You approve the price and minimum payout before a listing is published. The selling fee is $25, deducted from the completed sale: a $100 sale leaves a $75 seller payout. No selling fee is due if the paddle does not sell. Any additional charge or lower offer requires your prior agreement.
Agree on the details before drop-off
The selling period, collection date for an unsold paddle, payment method, and seller payout deadline must be agreed in writing before Mike accepts custody. Sending an inquiry is not a consignment agreement. There is no guaranteed selling price or completion date.
Ownership and condition
Sellers must own their paddles or be authorized to sell them, and disclose known damage, repairs, modifications, or performance issues. Mike may request purchase history or proof of ownership and may decline a paddle if ownership or condition is unclear. A condition review records visible wear; it does not certify authenticity or rule out hidden damage.
For buyers
Ask Mike to confirm availability and arrange a local viewing. Inspect the actual paddle and ask about its disclosed condition before payment. The price, payment method, and any return arrangements must be confirmed in writing before purchase. Do not assume that a trial period, warranty, or return window is included.
